These terms and conditions and the web-based booking form constitute the entire Agreement concerning the provision of a Corporate Account (“Service”) between you and RYDE Taxi Service. Completion of the booking form and use of the Service indicates your unconditional acceptance of the terms and conditions set out in this Agreement.


 
 

1. Definitions

“RYDE Taxi Service” means RYDE Guildford who’s registered is 14 London Road Guildford GU12AG.

 “you” and “your” means any individual, company or other business who places the booking with us. 


 
 

2. Booking

2.1 You must allow sufficient time when booking your taxi to allow for the check-in times required by your airline and for any delays caused by traffic conditions. RYDE Taxi Service shall not be responsible for any delay caused by your failure to allow enough time to reach your destination or if the passengers are not ready for collection at the booked time. 2.2 You must order a suitable car size for the number of passengers and luggage. RYDE Taxi Service cannot guarantee to carry excessive amounts of luggage. Please note that a child, no matter what age, counts as one passenger.

2.2 All bookings are to be made directly with RYDE via phone, email or online Bookers. please do not make bookings with drivers, this can result in mistakes being made, RYDE will not be held liable for any mistakes or issues.

2.3 If you need to transport a wheelchair please specify this at the time of booking. 


3. Prices & Payment

3.1 RYDE Taxi Service will email you a quotation based on the information supplied by you. RYDE Taxi Service may amend the quotation if there is any material change to the original itinerary, the number of passengers, or the type or size of vehicle required. Price may increase to due to road closures/ route change as price quotation is generally based up on shortest route. 

3.2 All Bookings are inclusive of a free 10 minutes wait there after RYDE Taxi Service will apply charges accordingly.

3.3 Airport pick up will include a [60] minute waiting period after the advertised landing time and the cost of car parking. RYDE Taxi Service will charge for waiting at its standard rates after the initial 60 minute period has expired (£5 every 15 mins). RYDE Taxi Service will endeavour to check for flight delays before the driver leaves for the airport but shall be under no obligation to do so (if your journey does however go in to night rate hours there will be additional charges for the night rate).

3.4, Unexpected last minute delays could also incur additional charges, it is the customers responsibility to notify RYDE with any flight delays, as information provided online is not always correct, and is the information we can use to instruct our drivers. 

3.5 If you accept the quotation, you will receive confirmation of your booking by email or SMS. Please check your booking confirmation carefully and inform RYDE Taxi Service promptly of any errors. RYDE Taxi Service shall not be responsible for any delays caused or costs arising from your failure to provide RYDE Taxi Service with correct information.

3.6 All Payments should be made with 14 days of the issued invoice


4. The Service

4.1 You shall be responsible for the behaviour of all the passengers in the vehicle during the journey. You or the customer will be charged £100 to cover cleaning costs in the unlikely event of the vehicle being soiled by any passenger!

4.2 Eating, drinking and/or smoking in the cars are not permitted.

4.3 All children travelling during the journey should be restrained in a manner appropriate to their age, weight and height. Suitable child seats should wherever possible be supplied and fitted by the child’s parents. Such seats may be retained by the driver for use on the return journey.

4.4 RYDE Taxi Service will not carry more passengers than its insurance or licensing allows.


5. Cancellations

If you need to cancel your booking, please contact our support team as soon as possible. Minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required If you wish to cancel a booking without paying full fare.


If it is an immediate / asap booking this will be Non refundable payment


If you cancel a booking within 24 hours of making the booking, a 10% will be levied on the original payment made and the remainder will be refunded. 


If you cancel a booking giving a minimum of 24 hours’ notice, a 25% will be levied on the original payment made and the remainder will be refunded.


Less than 24 Hours all payments are Non refundable.


Booking should be cancelled via a Phone call to our support team, SMS and Emails are not managed consistently and will not be considered a valid method of cancellation. With our Non Refundable Bookings - there is no refund available this is applied to journeys that are discounted and on special dates such as Christmas & New Years Eve


6. Liability

6.1 RYDE Taxi Service shall use all reasonable endeavours to get you to your destination on time, but shall not be liable for any loss due to delays caused by road or traffic conditions beyond its control on the journey. Under no circumstances shall RYDE Taxi Service be liable (in contract, tort or otherwise) for any loss of profits, business or for any indirect or consequential loss whatever. 6.2 Luggage is carried entirely at your risk.

6.3 RYDE Taxi Service shall be entitled to cancel all services and provide refunds in the event of a declared national emergency, riot, war, fuel shortage, extreme weather or terrorist attack, or other circumstances beyond its control. If the car breaks down during your journey RYDE Taxi Service will endeavour to arrange an alternative car to complete the journey as soon as practicable.

6.4 You shall indemnify RYDE Taxi Service against all losses, costs, damages and expenses arising from any act or omission of any passenger in your party. 6.5 Neither party excludes or limits its liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for wilful default or fraudulent misrepresentation or otherwise in any manner unenforceable by any applicable law.


7. Termination

7.1 We reserve the right make any cancelations, we may cancel a booking at any time by phone or written notice to that effect.

You will not be liable to pay the price for the Booking (or, if already paid, 

a full refund of the price paid for the Booking will be given)

the full price for the Booking (or, if already paid, no refund of the price paid for the Booking will be given).


7.2 RYDE Taxi Service will refuse or terminate any booking with immediate effect if it places any driver or vehicle at risk of damage, violence or abuse by you or by any passenger in your party and we will ask all passengers to vacate the vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so. No refunds will be given if the journey is terminated part way through the hire, as a result of a unacceptable behaviour placing the driver in an uncomfortable position made to feel harm and distress.

whereby you will still be liable to pay.


7.3 A payment can be requested at any time of the journey, failure to make payment can result in termination immediately.



8. Miscellaneous

8.1 RYDE Taxi Service may subcontract its obligations under this Agreement. You shall not assign, transfer or delegate any of your rights or obligations under this Agreement.

8.2 RYDE Taxi Service may change these terms and conditions at any time by posting changes online. Please review these terms and conditions regularly to ensure that you are aware of any changes. All existing bookings will be at the rate quoted or applicable rate in effect at the time of booking.

8.3 RYDE Taxi Service shall store, process and use all information regarding your personal details in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998.

8.4 This Agreement and any accompanying quotation represent the entire agreement between you and RYDE Taxi Service in relation to its subject matter. If there is any discrepancy between the terms of this Agreement and the quotation, the terms of this Agreement shall prevail.

8.5 Nothing in this Agreement is intended to confer any benefit on any third party, whether pursuant to the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 or otherwise, and no third party shall have the right to enforce any rights under this Agreement except where otherwise agreed in writing.


9. Disputes

This Agreement shall be construed in accordance with English law, you and RYDE Taxi Service each agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts in respect of any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this Agreement.


10. Conveying of children

UK law states that taxis are exempt from legislation relating to children travelling in a baby/child seat or booster. For Health and Safety reasons RYDE Taxi Service are unable to provide any form of child seat. If you require a child seat for your journey it would be the child's parent/carers responsibility to provide one and to fit the seat in the vehicle and to secure the child. If you are booking a return journey and have your own child seat, the driver who carries out your booking will store your child seat for the return journey, please note that the installation of the child seat must be carried out by you.


 
 

Pricing Terms & Conditions

Day Rate: 07:00 – 23:00 – Normal Pricing - delayed bookings / waiting Charges @£20 p/h

Night Rate: 23:00 – 07:00 – Price increase to Time & half - delayed bookings / waiting Charges @ £30 p/h

"Time and a half refers to an increased charge

regular rate of cost plus half of that"

If the booking over laps into night rate. Night rate charges will also be applied, Depending on time, fare type of journey (Fixed Price or Meter price) & where there journey is booked from.

Fixed price jobs are usually discounted in the event of any delay the journey will incur full night rate charge at time & half

A meter price will automatically go into the night rate as it is digitally programmed to do so.


 
 

Airports

Day Rate: 07:00 – 23:00 – Normal Pricing

Night Rate: 23:00 – 07:00 – Night rate £5 Extra

Airport collection £10 extra

Delayed bookings - All flights are monitored, the driver is dispatched according to the information provided either by the customer or online live flight times & status Information.

If the journey was to start or end in the night rate period regardless of when and how the booking was made the full night rate will be applied for the booking, this includes a booking that involves a delayed flight.

On airport pick-ups a one hour waiting period (from flight arrival or booking time) is included in the price (unless stated) the charges after the one-hour period are priced @ £20 p/h (£5 every 15 mins)

Airport Drop off include a free 5 minutes waiting period then there after a @ £20 p/h (£5 every 15 mins)

Additional drops Incur additional charges

Any additional luggage on the day might incur additional charges

A Meet & Greet Service is inclusive of the price and is provided if requested beforehand

All luggage carried inside or outside by the passenger is the responsibility of the passenger


 
 

Non-Payment of Services

In an instance in which the passenger refuses to pay the fare or runs off without paying, this is considered a crime. If the passenger runs off without paying, this is considered theft under Section 3 of the Theft Act 1978 – Making off without payment. If the person knowingly takes a journey in cab without having money to pay but does not inform the driver of this until arrival at the destination, this is an offence under Section 11 of the Fraud Act 2006 – Obtaining services dishonestly. Similarly, if the passenger refuses to pay at the destination, this is also considered an offence under Section 11 of the Fraud Act.


Soiling of Vehicle

Soiling the carriage leaving it unfit for immediate subs hiring incurs a minimum charge of £100
